Japan's New Legal Framework and Open Platforms for Regenerative Medicine and Medical Devices: Towards a New Era of Silicon Valley-Japan Synergy

  • Encina Hall 616 Serra St Stanford, CA, 94305 United States (map)

Joint seminar by JETRO, NEDO, and Stanford SV-NJ
Technology Innovation Partnership (TIP) series and Stanford SV-NJ Public Forum Series

Last year, the world’s most advanced legal framework for regenerative medicine came into force in Japan, allowing provisional approval to regenerative medicine products before phase of clinical trials.

Along with deregulation in cell processing outsourcing, the policy was designed to make Japan the most business-friendly for regenerative medicine. This panel introduces the regulatory developments and industry perspectives, along with insights into some of the latest research in regenerative medicine at Stanford. Each speaker will speak approximately 15 minutes, followed by a 30 minute panel discussion.
